Materials, reinforcement, and finishes
We specify proven mix designs (typically 3,500–4,500 psi for exterior flatwork) with the right slump and admixtures to balance workability and strength, plus fiber reinforcement when appropriate. Subgrade is compacted and topped with a graded base (usually 4–6 inches of road base) to minimize settlement, while rebar or wire mesh provides additional tensile strength.
Durability comes from details: joints are saw‑cut on time and at the correct spacing, edges are tooled to resist chipping, and surfaces are cured using wet methods or curing compounds to reduce cracking. Penetrating or film‑forming sealers protect against moisture, stains, and abrasion, and we provide care instructions and a workmanship warranty for peace of mind.

Consultation and planning begin with a site assessment to evaluate grade, drainage, soil, and access. We verify utilities, review any HOA or permit needs, and present a tailored design with thickness, reinforcement, joint layout, and finish options, including samples and color mockups.
Build phase includes precise layout and forms, excavation, compaction, and base installation. Reinforcement, conduits, and sleeves are placed before the pour. We follow best practices for placement and finishing—screeding, bull floating, edging, texturing or stamping—and we adapt for weather with proper admixtures, windbreaks, or surface evaporation control.
Post‑pour, we cut control joints at the optimal window, complete cleanup, and apply sealers at the right cure stage. A final walkthrough covers quality checks, drainage performance, and maintenance. You receive a clear care guide covering cleaning, resealing intervals, de‑icing guidance, and expected timelines for full strength.
